Physical Information

Appearance: Unlike normal Stunky, Maroon has a more feline-like appearance with retractable claws. His eyes are a bright amber colour and are slitted. His ears and tail are a bit more fluffy than normal. He normally walks around on his hind legs, but when running he goes onto all fours.

Accessory: Maroon wears a deep crimson-red scarf around his tail. Fashioned from odor trapping material, he wears it around his tail so it doesn’t smell like he rolled around in Miltank dung.

Build: Slenderly built under all the fur and fluff, yet muscular.

Overview: Generally, Maroon is all optimistic and happy. Never afraid to back down from a challenge he finds fitting. Due to his all-happy outlook on life, many find him carefree and much too loving towards anyone. He smiles too much, laughs too much... etc. Maroon never labels someone anything lower than a “friend.” Even when he first meets someone, it’s always “friend, best friend, I-Love-You-To-Death-Friend”. He is basically the opposite of what everyone thinks of a Dark-type.

In Conversation: He speaks in a very relaxed tone; his voice gives one the impression where he is deeply interested in the conversation, and he’d believe anything said.

At a Glance: Some ‘mons may find him naive, or gullible, like he’d never been caught up in the “real world.” Someone who is stuck in their own little bubble of dreams and happiness.

Closer Bond: Some of his closer friends call him very trustworthy and bubbly. Very happy and fun to be around.

Likes: Sweets, sunshine, birds, water

Dislikes: Rude ‘mons, sadness, bees, pumpkins

Fears: Being left alone (ex: abandoned, stranded by himself), pumpkins

Goals: Maroon dreams of a world with less pain and sorrow. He wishes to leave a nice impact on the Pokemon around him, which is somewhat of a goal? Other than that, the poor Stunky is unsure.  

Combat Information

Battle Style: Maroon usually hides in the Smokescreen he can whip up. Usually attacking with stealth, but when he needs to, he will attack without hiding.

Prowess: He is not one for much fighting. He believes it is right to only fight for self-defense, but never in any other time.

Strengths: Speed and strength | He may not appear all that fast or powerful, Maroon can pack the punch. He is also excellent at hiding; his darkly coloured pelt also supports that.

Weaknesses: He will never go all out, even when fighting against someone who is out for his pelt. Maroon is just too nice towards them. Sometimes, it hinders him enough to make him stop the battle, and surrender straight up. Even at times he will just give up right away.

Ability: Stench | Maroon, when the scarf is taken off, smells absolutely horrifying. It is enough to make the bravest of souls flinch, overpowered by the pure smell of that scent.

Moveset:
· Smokescreen: Maroon shakes his fur out releasing a dark smokey cloud in the air.
· Night Slash: Maroon’s claws are enveloped with a dark energy, or light. He then slashes rapidly at his target.
· Play Rough: Maroon seems to be “play fighting.” However, his movements are much more harsh and rapid. He repeatedly strikes the target with his claws, teeth, feet, or tail.
· Flamethrower: Maroon can breathe out a hot breath of fire, or he can summon it from his paws when he is standing on his hind legs.

Stat Breakdown:
Strength: 5 - 5 | Maroon is exceptionally strong. When he was younger, his father constantly put him to work and training. Day and night he would be working on his strength for he was the only male in the family who was able-bodied.

Intelligence: 0 [ + 2 ] - 5 | Maroon is average intelligence. He is smart enough to use his surroundings to his advantage, but not smart enough to solve hard problems that require great knowledge. He gets stumped on too many riddles.

Agility: 3 - 5 | Similar to his strength, Maroon is extremely light on his paws. Inheriting his cat-like reflexes from his father, the Stunky was always quick.

Charisma: 2 - 5 | Maroon isn’t the most charming guy out there. He may be all rainbows and sunshine, but he definitely is not a charmer, or someone to win many points with the ladies.

History
Pre-Initiation:
Maroon grew up as the only boy out of four. His sisters, one other Stunky and two Purrloin, were all weaker physically. However, they were more of the types to do chores, errands, housework. The three of them were all exceptionally great at mathematics, science... Either way, Maroon was more of the type to do all the hard work around the place. His family lived in a den next to a small lake in a forest. His mother, a very beautiful Stuntank--believe it or not--, was rarely home. His father on the other hand, a Liepard who was crippled and nearly blind, brought them up. He taught them compassion, love... all the things a parent would want to teach to their children. He trained Maroon to be powerful, only for good purposes. All the hard work finally got the little Stunky somewhere nice. They lived moderately, not all that worried about money or anything else.

Joining:
Maroon was separated from his family during a harsh storm at a young age (around ten in human years). Drenched, cold, and sick, he wandered around before collapsing in front of a very nice looking house. He was brought in by the servants of the manner, in which here he found Lumiere, or Lumi, the Ralts. During his recovery at the Ralts’ home, he told her stories about life outside of walls; the fresh morning air against your fur, the thrill of adventure that the day brought. Inspired by the Stunky’s stories, Lumi left her life of luxury and went with him out to explore. However, the idea of Hunters and what they do appealed to both of them even better. Though it required getting their hands dirty, it was still fun for the two of them.

Relationships
Lumiere: “I personally think that Lumi is the best ‘mon I could have paired with. She lets me be myself, and doesn’t judge me too harshly when I do something wrong. I mean, she’s really nice. Scary sometimes, but super nice!”

Magnus: “My father is an amazing guy. He could do almost anything before he got hurt... I mean, he keeps up this really positive attitude even though it’s pretty tough to be almost blind and crippled. But he’s really cool. I bet he could do the things he did before again!”

Sasha: “Even though I don’t remember much of my mum, she seems really nice. She’s super pretty too! I know she’s super strong too. I remember one time when I was younger...”
